I have a thing for hearts! From doodling them as a child to adding an emoji heart to a text as an adult, I have always been drawn to hearts.
In 2020, when I found myself in the throws of homeschooling, adjusting to lockdown restrictions, managing a new way of life within our home all without connections to our wider family and friends circle, I needed something to create that was fun and meaningful. Something I could do on a daily basis between homeschooling and managing a pretty hectic household!
My hand-painted hearts were born as a passion project during this time. Created during a time when I was thinking a lot about my family and friends, missing that daily hello to passers by, or a quick chat with a neighbour, and realizing just how important it is to have these connections in our lives.
I wanted to create a heart, full of meaning, colour, and joy, that represented a connection and spread bright, happy energy.
I fell in love with creating these hearts… and I continued to create them today, it makes my heart happy that many of them have found homes around the world, and to know they add a little love and happiness to someone else’s day is a magical feeling.
Hearts in your home
If you have a small wall that just needs that little pop of colour, a heart is a great way to share happy vibes each time you pass by.
Or grouped as a set of three small, medium and large for treble the joy!
They can be hung as a festive decoration on a tree, the small ones are perfect for this as they are lightweight.
Or if you’re a lover of all things ‘Heart’ like me, try a ‘gallery wall’ of lots of styles of hearts together… a beautiful heartfelt statement.
Whichever way you style yours, you can know in your heart that each one is hand-painted with love to spread a little light wherever it is displayed.
